Step 1

In a small saucepan, melt butter, continually stir & heat until it browns to make brown butter. Remove from heat once butter turns nutty brown. Cool.

Stir flour, baking soda & salt in a bowl. In a stand mixer, beat together cool butter and sugars until smooth. Add egg, egg yolk, bourbon & extract.
